Drawing in Italy means immersing yourself in the beauty of Florence, the charming terracotta towns, and the bustling squares with their stunning marble churches. And for the first time, we’ll be painting by the sea—capturing yachts, sunsets, and the shimmering reflections right on our first day.

These days in Italy are all about you, with a complete focus on creativity. This journey is perfect for those who love and dream of painting, want to relax in Italy, learn something new, laugh, unwind, and fully immerse themselves in an atmosphere surrounded by like-minded people.

Deposits are refundable if canceled at least 2 weeks before the trip, in the currency and amount originally paid.

Deposits are non-refundable if canceled less than 14 days before the trip, as they partially cover the reservation of the villa.

🎨Workshop: “Yachts” at the Marina di Pisa

Pisa is more than just its famous tower. It’s also home to a picturesque port filled with docked yachts and charming fishermen’s houses set against the backdrop of waves and sunset. In this workshop, we’ll paint yachts, water, and sunsets—beloved subjects for watercolor artists.

🎨 Workshop: “Urban Landscape” in Lucca

Lucca captivates with its cozy corners, balconies, arches, and flower-adorned cafes. During this session, we’ll focus on creating a small-format urban sketch, capturing the charming essence of Lucca in watercolor.

🎨 Workshop: “Tuscan Sketches” at the Villa

The best views of Tuscany, with all their nuances and details, reveal themselves at the villa. The villa itself is a picturesque part of the landscape. We’ll explore the famous Tuscan scenery in watercolor, discussing different perspectives and techniques along the way.

🎨 Workshop: “Florentine Rooftops” Sketch in Florence

Florence is overwhelming in its beauty, making it difficult to settle on just one scene. For this workshop, we’ll use a Kaweco fountain pen—the perfect tool for sketching on the go—to capture impressions that can later be turned into full watercolors. Of course, we won’t miss the unforgettable panorama of Florentine rooftops.

🎨 Workshop: Architectural Sketch of “The Houses of Borgo”

Borgo is a lively town with its own distinctive architecture. This workshop focuses on an architectural sketch, capturing the character of this charming locale.

We Provide All the Art Supplies!
All you need to bring:

✅ Your favorite brushes

Everything else will be provided, so you can focus entirely on your creative experience!

This journey is for everyone. Our participants come from different cities, countries, and professions, and span various ages.

Five outdoor painting workshops with Julia Zilbert.
Online course “Seascape”
All painting materials, including paints and paper. The artworks you create during the workshops are yours to keep and will be a beautiful addition to your home.
A trip and guided tour of Lucca, the “City of 100 Churches” with a 2,000-year history.
A trip and guided tour of Florence, the city of love and art.
Licensed tour guides in both Florence and Lucca.
A walking tour of Pisa, accompanied by a photographer to capture your experience.
A seaside excursion to Marina di Pisa, including a plein air painting workshop in the harbor among the yachts.
Transfers to and from Pisa Airport (including airport parking).
Accommodation for the entire stay at a villa in Tuscany, in comfortable apartments with two people per room. Reservations are confirmed upon payment.
Daily breakfasts, featuring delicious and hearty local products.
Two lunches (including pizza, pasta, risotto, seasonal fresh vegetables, and fruits) and two dinners, including the final celebration dinner “In White” at our villa’s restaurant.

Visa for Italy (arranged in advance through the Italian embassy or visa center; we can provide a villa reservation confirmation if needed).

I’m Julia Zilbert @juliazilbert

I live in Greece on the beautiful island of Crete. I began actively practicing watercolor in 2017, and I was captivated by its unpredictability and boldness.

I fell in love with watercolor at first sight, and it soon returned my affection. With it, I’ve earned top awards at international biennales, accolades, and joyful experiences.

I participate in exhibitions, serve as a judge in marathons and contests, and review artworks for books and the annual “Living Calendar” competition.

I also teach the wet-on-wet technique to students from various countries.

I’ve been living in Tuscany, Italy, since 2017, in the historic city of Lucca, which boasts a 2,000-year history.
